About Liam

By the time Liam Maguire was ten, he had accumulated and stored a vast supply of hockey data. At the age of sixteen, the passion turned into an obsession of studying, memorizing, reading and researching even the smallest hockey trivia detail.

The crowning glory of his youth took place in 1981 when he was invited as a guest on the Hal Anthony Talk Show on CFRA Radio in Ottawa. His destiny was, at that point, assured and he became the unofficial hockey trivia expert.

His public appearances number more than 2000, having met many hockey personalities, players, media and fans – as he constantly adds to his cache of information. Liam doesn’t give you just the straight answer to the question, but adds the ultimate “and did you know … ” to each query. Some of Liam’s recent appearances have been at the Wayne Gretzky fantasy Camp in February/2008 in Scottsdale, AZ and working the World Junior hockey championships for IBM in Ottawa, December 2008- January 2009.  He is available for your golf tournaments or any corporate function that requires an emcee, host, auctioneer or entertainment.
